Our Services
Cabbagetown Women's Clinic provides comprehensive abortion and reproductive health services to patients across Toronto, Ontario, Canada and abroad. All of our services are covered under OHIP for patients with a valid Ontario health card, and most appointments are available on a same-day or next-day basis with no physician referral required.
Our clinic is licensed as an Independent Community Health Services Centre (ICHSC) by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and we are members of the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and Abortion Care Canada (ACC). Care is delivered by our all-female nursing team and the full-time physician is female. We administer trauma-informed support throughout your visit.
Surgical Abortion (Up to 24 Weeks)
We provide surgical abortion services from early pregnancy through 24 weeks' gestation, the highest gestational age limit available outside of hospital in Toronto. Surgical abortion is a short, in-clinic procedure performed under conscious sedation.
For patients in the earlier stages of pregnancy, the procedure is typically completed in a single appointment. For patients further along, the procedure may involve a multi-day process, which is explained in detail during your initial assessment.
Medical Abortion (Up to 10 Weeks)
We offer medical abortion using Mifegymiso, the two-medication protocol approved by Health Canada. Medical abortion is available for patients up to 10 weeks' gestation and involves taking medication to end the pregnancy at home, with follow-up care from our team.
Medical abortion is a non-surgical option that allows many patients to manage the process privately, with the support of our medical team available throughout.
Contraception and IUD Insertion
For our patients, we offer a range of contraception services, including IUD insertion, birth control counselling, and discussion of contraception options that fit your needs and circumstances. Contraception services are available as part of an abortion appointment or as a standalone visit for IUD insertions or removals.
Miscarriage Management
In addition to abortion services, our physician provides miscarriage management up to 14 weeks. Whether the miscarriage is in progress, incomplete, or requires medical or surgical intervention, our team provides compassionate, experienced care.

In the beginning, I was having difficulty searching for urgent assistance and care. I had called several places that had awfully long or disorganized waitlists so I had considered Cabbagetown Women's Clinic. The entire process went fantastic with the help and support from the brilliant staff and caregivers. Very informative, observant and kind.
